Obstetrics at FCC

We care for you before, during, and after your pregnancy, including inpatient management for labor and delivery.

If you meet certain low-income requirements and are pregnant, you may qualify for Medicaid during and immediately after your pregnancy. We have onsite staff to help you apply for Medicaid. Please ask any front desk staff member for assistance.

Gynecology at FCC

We provide you with well care and listen to and address your concerns.
Preventive care visits provide an excellent opportunity for well-woman care including screening, evaluation of health risks and needs, counseling, and immunizations. This includes cancer related screening such as pap smears/hpv and breast cancer screenings.
Gynecological concerns such as vaginal discharge, menstrual problems, sexual problems, etc.
Infertility consultations and evaluations.
In office procedures including biopsies, evaluation and treatment of abnormal pap smears including colposcopies and LEEP procedures.
Hospital GYN surgeries including hysterectomies, removals of tubes and/or ovaries, treatment of miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies.
On-site monthly mammograms provided by a mobile mammography partner.

Family Planning and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Testing and Treatment

We provide information and counseling on contraceptive methods, IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals. We test you for STIs and if you are positive, we also test and treat your partner. We recognize that it’s important to get in quickly for this situation. When you call for a contraception or STI testing visit, please let us know and we will get you in for an appointment within 2 weeks so you can get started on birth control or treatment as soon as possible.

Location

Our OB/GYN department is headquartered at the Glenwood location at 928 N. Glenwood in Tyler, with 6 physicians and 3 nurse practitioners. We offer obstetrics, gynecology, family planning, and STI testing and treatment at this location. A 3,000-foot expansion is under construction and more doctors will join us soon, as we continue to be a leader in women’s health in the region. We will also offer group group prenatal visits, and other classes when construction is completed.

We offer gynecology, and family planning/STI testing and treatment at our West Gentry Clinic in Tyler. We offer obstetrics, gynecology, and family planning/STI testing and treatment at our Jacksonville Clinic and offer gynecology and family planning/STI testing and treatment at Athens Clinic.
